Take Control of Your Health by Taking Control of What You Eat

Do you want to be healthy, lean and happy?  If so then you want to listen to this.  Because I’ve been working on developing programs designed to help people have healthy eating habits, I’ve recently been doing a lot of research on the topic of what one should eat.  The more I see all of the different studies that I’m seeing and the more I talk to nutritionists and doctors, the more I see that we’ve got it all wrong.  That’s one of the reasons why people are overweight and suffering from diseases such as diabetes and cancer.

The old USDA guidelines gave really bad advice and the new ones while somewhat improved still give bad advice. Why?  Because the food industry has historically always gotten involved in what people are ultimately told.   It’s always making sure that its interests are put forward to the point where for example, Coca-Cola has been caught funding research to mislead people.  All the companies that sell us crap want us to keep buying it.  It’s all about the money.

That’s why we have to start taking control of our health.  You can’t depend on the government and you can’t always depend on health organizations either.  It’s time that we all start taking responsibility for our own well-being and that of our families.  If you want to be healthy, start focusing on eating plant-based foods.  I’m not a nutritionist and I’m not a doctor but from everything that they are telling me:  We need to stay away from refined grains which are what you find in white bread.
We need to super cut back on sugar because it’s all around bad for us, stop eating dairy products or really reduce their intake to next to nothing, and stop eating meat all together or sparingly eating organic and grass fed meat.  I also suggest you buy wild caught fish instead of farmed fish.

What you put into your body matters.  We tend to forget that it’s all interconnected.  If you want to be in a better place mentally, don’t just focus on your thoughts, also focus on what you’re eating.  It’s important that we pay attention to what we put into our body and what we feed our families because it matters.

I hope that you seriously consider what I’ve just mentioned to you.   If you already haven’t done so, be sure to sign up to my newsletter on my website.
