Train Your Mind To Stop Emotional Eating and Slim Down

Train Your Mind To Stop Emotional Eating and Slim Down. If you are an emotional eater, know that you’re not alone.  It’s a problem that I see with women across the board, regardless of their backgrounds and ages.

You can’t imagine how many times I’ve had women tell me that they eat when they are stressed, lonely, bored, happy, when they celebrate something good happening or feel like they deserve a reward for a tough day. Sound familiar? Trust me. I know this situation too well because I use to do it too.

Our minds have created associations that have it to where if this happens, you eat, if that happens, you eat. When you eat like this, you’re not eating out of hunger. You’re eating out of comfort because it makes you feel good.

The problem with this is that it leads to consuming excess calories when you are not even hungry and to becoming dependent on food for the purpose of feeling better. That’s not healthy and it only sets you up to gain weight. If you are already there and are ready to be done with this situation then the first step is to become aware of the situations that tend to trigger you.

Once you’ve done that, understand that you can break those old patterns. It just takes consistency and determination. In the beginning, you might have a slip here and there but with enough practice, you can make it to where you are able to clearly see see what’s happening and like a total zen master say, no, I’m not doing that. That is something that you can train yourself to do. I know because I help women to do it all the time. The most important thing is that you start and that your loving and patient with yourself as you do it.
