Advice For When Things Aren’t Going Your Way

Advice For When Things Aren’t Going Your Way

Where there is a will there is a way. I have a story that really speaks to them. You know when I first started making all these YouTube videos I decided that I was going to make my videos in both English and Spanish so imagine that for me it’s always been a double little work and it’s been particularly rough because Spanish is not my native language, I was born here in the United States and while I practiced it with my grandmother at home it just has never compared to what somebody speaks who’s born in Latin America so imagine.

I started doing these videos and back then I used to pay somebody to actually shoot these things now I totally shoot them with my cell phone but back then my videographer mentioned to me, you keep flubbing, you keep making mistake after mistake, it’s costing you a lot of time and money to do these so why don’t you maybe not do them in Spanish and in the future if you decide to do them. I told them Mike the reality is that if I don’t do them now, I may never do them, later on, I have to do them plus you’ve got to understand that the Spanish world, the Spanish-speaking world does not have Tony Robbins, they don’t have all the people that we have in the English-speaking world so I have to do this because I’m really committed to reaching out to many people as possible and putting out my message out there, helping people. I have to do this so he said all right it’s up to you do whatever you want to do.

I continued making the videos and I continued suffering because every single time I went to make just one video I’d have to shoot and reshoot the same stuff over and over again and at one point I just sat myself down and I thought okay I need to do something, I need to find a way of making this happen, so the light bulb went on in my head and then I thought a teleprompter that’s what I’m going to do.

I started writing the scripts in English as I always had and I started sending them to my VA in England who is of Spanish descent and my cousins in Mexico and other people that work for me and they started translating them and I started putting them through the teleprompter and there they were. When there is a will there is a way. I found a way of making the videos and interesting enough, by making these so often my Spanish has actually improved and now it’s actually easier for me to ad-lib, I still make mistakes, I still mispronounce things from time to time but it makes no difference, because I would like to think that it’s my message and my passion that I’m conveying and that people are able to forgive those little blobs, those little mistakes.

My friend, I hope my little story inspires you to work past whatever it is that you might be experiencing so that you can reach your goals. What’s wild is that my Spanish YouTube channel has three times the amount of followers than my English one does. I am so happy that I stayed true to my vision and then I continue making my videos in both English and Spanish.

Alright guys I hope you’re having a great day and I look forward to chatting with you again soon.
