Here are the 5 Myths and Facts on Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy.  I created this video because I have found that people cannot differentiate between the two.  For some, hypnosis sounds scary because they don’t know how it really works. Some fear mind control or that it has something to do with the occult.  Thankfully, hypnosis in the form of hypnotherapy has nothing to do with that stuff.

Hypnotherapy is safe

Hypnotherapy is totally natural.  It usually involves a person experiencing a sense of deep relaxation with their attention narrowed down, and focused on appropriate suggestions that were agreed upon during the consultation phase of a session.

You are in Control

There is no mind control like you see on TV!  All hypnosis is ultimately self-hypnosis. The goal of every Hypnotherapist is to facilitate your self-hypnosis.  It works because you want whatever you are coming in for.

You don’t do silly stuff

Always remember, hypnotherapy is not about being made to do things, in fact it is the exact opposite – it is about your empowerment for the betterment of your everyday quality of life. 🙂

If someone tells you they can hypnotize you to do something, ask them to hypnotize you to rob a bank, and when they can’t, ask them to stop making ridiculous claims!
