Comparing yourself to others is bad habit that will never benefit you. Instead, it can lead to poor self esteem as you train your mind to focus exclusively on negative aspects about yourself, or what you are lacking. With enough of this repetitive behavior, you can find yourself feeling awful about yourself all the time.

Here’s the reality: *nobody* is perfect – nobody’s *relationship* is perfect, nobody’s *job* is perfect, nobody’s *life* is perfect. … regardless of what you hear or see, or how famous the people you look up to are. Every person is living their own unique experience at a particular time.   While one person has something going on for themselves in one part of their lives, they may not have something they would envy in yours.

It’s important that you focus on the good in you and that you remember that you are a multi-faceted person who has a lot to offer and that you have your own contributions to make to this world whether you are aware of them or not. *You* have specific gifts which enable you, and only you, to make *your* unique contribution in your style and your way.
