3 Simple Yet Powerful Steps To Train Your Mind To Make Something Happen

The new year is write around the corner so it’s a great time to gear up to start making the things that you’ve been wanting, happen.

Here’s a 3 step technique that will boost your ability to do just that.

Step 1: Go get a journal and on the first piece of paper jot down your goals. Writing down your goals can have a great psychological impact on you. According to Dr. Gail Matthews, who teaches psychology at the Dominican University of California, you are 42% more likely to achieve your goals if you have written them down! Now, that doesn’t mean that you should write it down once and store it away in a drawer somewhere. This is something that you should do nightly, give or take a night off here and there.

Step 2: Is that you on another piece of paper write affirmations in the present tense as though you already had what you wanted. So for example let’s say you’ve really been wanting a job at a new particular place where you kind of feel a little intimidated about it, you could write something like: I feel comfortable and at ease at my new job. I’m able to function at on optimal level and I feel that I’m part of the team. I’m the right person for my new job. Get it. You’re going to write things how you want them to be just in the present tense.

Step 3: Close your eyes and with all of your imagination, began to imagine yourself experiencing what you want to happen. So if you were the person in our example, you would imagine yourself being at the new job feeling really good, being productive and efficient and fitting right in. I would imagine a few different scenarios and even being in different office environments because while we want to train your mind to see you as the person who is the great pick for the the job, we also want to make sure that your mind stays flexible. Realistically, we don’t know how everything is going to play out.

Do these techniques on a regular consistent basis and you will find how your mind starts opening up to the possibilities of you getting everything you want and need. Not only that, but that it starts working with you to make those things happen.
